Willow (1988)

this is one of those movies my friends and i do random quotes from every once in a while. i've seen it a ton of times. i mean it was a fantasy movie that came out when i was 8, so of course i'm going to love it. plus it has Val Kilmer in it as one of the heroes and Warwick Davis as the other. awesome cast. then it was written by George Lucas and directed by Ron Howard. lots of great things came together to create this wonderful fantasy movie that had a large budget (thank goodness) to back it up.

it takes place in a fantasy world where a race of small people live in avoidance of the regular size humans. then one day an infant that an evil witch seeks to destroy floats into the little people's village near the farm of Willow (Davis). he is asked by the townspeople to take the baby back to the humans so that they can care for her. however, Willow grows attached to her and is forced to protect her. he befriends a wizard and a warrior and they make an attempt to overthrow the power of the wicked witch in order to save the baby from death.

i always enjoy this movie. the score is great along with everything else. the music has that triumphant/majestic/adventure feel to it that works so perfectly with the film. it's fun and extremely well made and i have nothing bad to say about it, but it's not really thought provoking or anything so i'll leave it with the 8/10 rating. yeah, i think that's good.
