we decided to go see this a couple of days ago. i had hoped more friends would come along, but Colin, Czyz, and i still had fun going to the midnight show. i mean hey, it was only $3 and you can't beat that for a new movie right?
it's a comedy about 3 middle-aged guys who end up getting a house near a college campus in New York and decide to start their own "fraternity" which for the most part doesn't even consist of students at the school. they even allow Blue into the fraternity, who is "pushing 89." there's a lot of beginnings and endings to relationships in the movie too. but it's funny, and the rest of the plot isn't that important. because it's all about the jokes with this kind of movie anyway right?
so the preview for this film is just hilarious. unfortunately, as it goes with most of these films, the preview shows the funniest parts. although i will say that the scene with the dart was extended by a few minutes, which really made the movie for me. that bit is just great.
will ferrell really makes this movie. without him, it would be pitiful. luke wilson gives the movie some heart, and vince vaughn is an interesting addition and he was good, but neither of them really made me laugh very much. it's all about will ferrell.
