Suspicion (1941)

i think i got interested in this one because Netflix had it on my list of recommendations. but then i'm always up for a new good Hitchcock film right? i had actually seen parts of this before at my mom's house. she always has TCM on, and other channels that play old movies.

Suspicion stars Cary Grant and Joan Fontaine as a married couple that keep having problems. Grant has a compulsive gambling problem and she starts losing trust in him. then she finds out that he's lied about some things and that he is hitting up a novelist friend for ideas about how to murder people. Fontaine starts to think that he's murdered his best friend and she's next! it's pretty exciting.

i don't think i've ever seen Joan Fontaine in anything before...that i can think of right now anyway. she did an excellent job and won an Oscar for her performance. i also heard that Grant and Fontaine hated each other and fought constantly.
