Mr. Mom (1983)

i added this one to the Netflix list a while back and i'm not sure why. i seem to remember that Leslie really likes this movie, but i could be wrong. i sort of enjoyed it, but it was really predictable and not all that great of a plotline. to me, Terri Garr is box-office poison. i guess she wasn't in the 80s to most people, but i never really liked her.

Mr. Mom is about a dad (Michael Keaton) who loses his job during a recession. his wife finds a job at a big advertising agency, so he in turn, takes over her job of taking care of their young children. hilarity ensues. ...or that's the idea anyway.

i would call this only moderately funny. i'm sure it's a good family film and all of that, but it just didn't do too much for me. or Jill for that matter.

i've tried to talk Jill into contributing to the diary from time to time, but she hasn't expressed much interest so far. she says she used to have a diary on diaryland, but didn't write in it very much and doesn't even remember where it is at this point. oh well, i guess i'll just continue alone.

on a cooler note, i purchased an OSX shareware program the other day to store info about my dvd collection in. it's called DVDpedia. if you have a Mac and own a ton of dvds, it might be a good idea for you. you can even use it to record who you lend things out to and how long they've had them. i've also been using it to store movie trailers. so like if someone comes over and wants to know what a certain movie i have is about, we can show them the trailer and see if they're interested. anyway, enough about DVDpedia. it's a fun program though.
