Mean Girls (2004)

this is another one that i honestly don't remember why i thought it was important to watch it. it seems like Colin had said it was an ok film and funny at parts. i also remember him telling me that it was written by Tina Fey which is cool. i mean everybody loves Tina Fey right?

it's basically a teen movie starring Lindsay Lohan (who seems to be all the rage as a teen movie star) as the new girl at the high school. she falls in with a very posh clique of girls called "the plastics" who enjoy being the center of attention and the main girl seems to enjoy ruining other peoples' lives. at first she doesn't want to be a bad guy, then she starts to enjoy being a bad guy, and then she realizes again that she doesn't want to be the bad guy.

it's not a very deep story, but parts of it are well written and some of the dialogue is decent. Tim Meadows' small role was probably my favorite part of the film. he plays the not ultra-cool principal. Tina Fey was also good, but didn't stray too much from her usual personality/acting style. Lindsay Lohan just doesn't do too much for Jill or i.
