Meet Me in St. Louis (1944)

this is another one from the National Film Registry list. no, i will not ever be able to see all the films on that i don't think. more films are added each year. it has no definite size really. but anyway, this is the classic Judy Garland film about a well-to-do family growing up in St. Louis at the turn of the 20th century and their life together. it's about the girls finding boyfriends and husbands, and about the whole family and the hard time they have when they realize that they have to move away from the city they love in order to go to New York. it's sort of a musical, comedy, family melodrama.

lots of really famous songs that were first made famous in this film, being sung by Judy Garland. there's of course "Meet Me in St. Louis," and there's "Skip to My Lou," "The Trolley Song," and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." good stuff.

there's a lot of really good acting in this and it's really just a sweet, pretty film. that's about all i've got in me today. i'm burned out from writing 3 reviews in a row. keep pressing the "previous movie" button and you'll get to the beginning.
