Blade (1998)

after reaching for 5 new films to check out from the library this past week, i decided i should go ahead and see Blade since i was thinking about it. seems to be a staple with some of my friends, so i thought i'd go ahead. as i told a friend earlier today, if you haven't seen this movie, it really doesn't matter. whatever expectation you have of this movie before you see it, that's the same way you'll feel after it's over. nothing will change. it's basically exactly what it pretends to be.

the film stars Wesley Snipes as Blade, a half vampire who spends his time hunting real vampires. and then there's Stephen Dorff as Deacon Frost, the head vampire. and there's a lot of fighting and Blade killing vampires. really not much more to it.

good action sequences, but a little heavy on the cgi. and any film that makes it a point to feature Kris Kristofferson is just asking to be put down. anyway, it has really good action sequences and the rest of the film is just mediocre. acting, plot, etc. just ok, but nothing that will go down in history. 6/10 on this one.
