Goldmember (2002)

guess who was at the premier earlier this week? that's correct, the coolest lady ever. Natalie.

well we decided that this is definitely an "opening night movie." you want to know all the jokes before you hear them from someone else, and that sort of thing. well it's definitely worth going to see at the theater. i'd say do it fast though before stuff starts leaking out about what happens in the film.

the film really starts out with a bang. Tom Cruise and Gwyneth Paltrow are awesome. i won't say anything more than that. hilarious.

as far as the cast for this film, it's pretty good but not as good as in the previous two. Beyonc Knowles is pretty worthless. but like my friend Colin said, she's not any worse than Heather Graham was in the second one. it doesn't disgust you to see her onscreen, but she's not useful for many jokes like Elizabeth Hurley was in the original. and Michael Caine's character is no good. the whole father son crap is not funny and it's just one more character to waste time in this film. they should've focused more on the villains. i think Mike Myers needs to scrap the Austin character and just use Mini Me, Dr. Evil, Goldfinger, and Fat Bastard. or maybe at least get a new secret agent character instead of Austin Powers. he's definitely lost his charm at this point.

some of the scenes in this film are just hilarious, but i can't prove it to you because that would spoil them. like i've said it's definitely worth seeing. and the new Goldmember character is awesome, even though he doesn't get that much screen time. i'd say that this film is not as good as the first or second Austin Powers though. they're really pushing it at this point.

i wonder what Natalie thought.
