Wrongfully Accused (1998)

well it's a Leslie Nielsen film. and we rented it for free. my friend Leslie and I were looking for something light and we both laughed insanely for about the first 45 minutes. the other half wasn't as great, but still had some good gags in it. i'll give it a 5/10.

this is mostly a spoof of The Fugitive (1993). if you haven't seen that film, you've been hiding in a cardboard box out behind your grandma's lawn furniture. you need to see it. it rocks and you can't help but love it. much like Speed (1994) but with probably a little bit better acting. but anyway Wrongfully Accused is in the same vein with Hot Shots! (1991), The Naked Gun (1988), and Airplane! (1980). same type of humor. if you like this type of humor, by the way, the greatest of them all is a little-known film starring Val Kilmer (one of his first few films) called Top Secret! (1984). all of this humor stems from the pairing of Jim Abrahams and David Zucker who directed most of them.

the moral of the story here is probably don't watch Wrongfully Accused, but do watch Top Secret!.
