Wings (1927)

well I decided to see Wings today, which is the very first Best Picture winner, at the first annual Academy Awards. it's actually a silent film too. and it's quite possibly the best film concerning WWI that I've seen. it seems like there's a good WWI film I'm forgetting, but I can't think of what it is. i don't care for All Quiet On The Western Front (1930). i give this one an 8/10.

wonderful aerial cinematography. and the story was very basic, but touching nonetheless. man, Clara Bow has some crazy hair. all the acting in this was great. and this film had a lot more closeups and medium shots than most films in the late 20s did. it was just a good movie.
